Fair enough GW you finally gave in and put 40k on the big screen (well 50 inch plasma) but perhaps you had been right all along, in believing the imagination of the tabletop could not be matched on screen.

The film itself was barely average on nearly every level but I believe that is not really the point.

The film does fail on one blindingly obvious point - if you do not have any foreknowledge of what 40k is about the whole piece is incomprehensible. Who is this Emperor, who or what is Chaos, what is it with all that chanting and so on? The second half action came too late to keep the uninitiated there till the end. One for the fanboys and them alone. Sort of limits the potential market?

Disappointed, well yes, but then again if I were being honest I knew I would be. It is like watching a film of your favourite book. It always played different in your own imagination, it is never as good.
