What is the brown part of the cloak made from??

Aduro wrote:Got the last little details done. I decided not to put the little hooked streamers in his hair like what's in the picture because I did not like the way they looked. I don't have anything tiny and fine enough to look good. I did to the pair of them for the one sleeve. Got him hooked to his board and made a new little belt buckle thing for the chain attachment. I do believe he's done, sans painting of course. I'll try to make the guy give it back to me after he's painted it so I can get some pictures of that up.

It's funny `cause it's true.

For a less amusing but no less correct answer, This Stuff.

Hey man that is an amazing model! I love the usage of the old hellion board and how you've made it jive and get that cool board the posing that sculpting is really well done. What is the clay you used to base the cause with?

Base the cape I'm guessing you mean? Read the post right above your own.

Ha ha yeah I just saw that after I posted and was too lazy to fix it. I haven't worked at all with brown stuff and I'm not much of a sculptor I need to step it up it looks like.

Correct me if I'm wrong, more model-savvy people, but I believe brown stuff is stiffer than green stuff and so better for capes.

That and hat brims. This was only the second time I've used the brown myself. I usually go with the green since it's significantly cheaper.

It's how the plastic boards are made, they all have that.

Very nice! A lovely job, I wonder if GW will do as well - certainly, when Sathonyx-GW comes out, your friend will not feel in the least ashamed that his model doesn't measure up to the studio one - this is certainly equal to anything professionally sculpted, splendid work.
