If you want Ymargl Genestealers, I would get the heads from Chapter House. Theirs are cooler than the Zoidberg-ish Feeder Tendril heads that come with the Genestealers. Plus those aren't going to be much easier to get anyways since you only get one tendril head for every four `stealers.

If you want a Swarmlord or Boneswords and Lashwhips for Warriors, I would get the Boneswords and Lashwhips from Paulson Games. His are MUCH better IMHO. Chapter House's are almost comically over sized when you get them on the models, and I dislike the arms they come attached on.

Yea, I was comparing the two and I love the look of actual swords vs arm blades.

Games Workshop is releasing an official Tervigon/Tyrannofex kit this Fall. I would wait on it them. If you absolutely have to have a tervigon now, pick up the Chapter House Studios conversion kit while you can. I do not think the wait for the official kits will be unbearable though. When I made my Tervigons and Tyrannofexs in January 2010, it was because there was no word on official models at all. Now we have quite a few rumor/leaks that say the Tervigon and Tyrannofex will be released, along with the Doom and the Ymgarls. Honestly the lawsuit of CHS was probably because of the Tervigon kit. GW probably hopes to get that kit out of the picture so people will wait and buy the official kit this fall.

(Yes the T-rex from toystory) that he glued googly eyes & some claws onto with a standard infantry base. The TO was less than pleased but he had printed the rule so they had to let him do it. Also his Tervigon was a Hot Wheels car with scything talons again on an infantry base. You should have seen the TOs face but the rules were clear. I was shocked he wasn't kicked out***

Im literally crying with laughter here. That is simply brilliant.

It isn't 100% confirmed, but it is info given to us by people who have proven to be very reliable many times before. The same people who told us when Blood Angels were going to be released. They even got Dark Eldar right, which no one actually believed were going to be released. I have been keeping track of rumors for a while now. I haven't provided many rumors myself, but I have a pretty good idea of which users provide us with reliable info.

If you are converting Tervigons, that is still good. I would go ahead and convert them. What you can do is convert them now and use them till about May or June. By that time, the rumors will be even more reliable but GW will still lack official release info. There are a lot of people who refuse to believe rumors until GW actually says the model is coming out. Many of these same people will still buy conversions when they are desperate. You can take your nice conversions in May or June and sell them on ebay and get back a 75% to a 125% return on what you spent to make your conversions and hold out a few months for the official ones.

I do this all the time. I traded off my heavily updated and converted Dark Eldar army last January which used a ton of Eldar and Dark Elves bits to spruce up the old models. I sold these in January of 2010 because of the strong rumors of new Dark Eldar in Oct of 2010. It worked out pretty well and I got a 100% return through a trade, (equal trade value plus a little for my conversions). You can do the same this spring once the Tervigon rumors are even more concrete and get use out of your conversions for the time being. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
