It very much depends....I've forgotten a rule before (I believe it was the Bile-Blood rule for the Jabberslythe) and someone budged into my game and asked me if I was a cheater or just dumb.

I wouldn't even worry about it yet. Like others have said since its only one person you play against that is complaining I would drop it. Unless he is causing others to not play against you then I would be up front and ask him to stop spreading gossip since it is detracting from your game experience. Now if more and more people stop playing against you that have played against you before. Then I would look at your actions and decide if you are being a nazi. If you think you are then straight up ask an opponent that has refused to play if you are a rules nazi. Most guys will be honest especially if you ask them away from the gaming enviroment.
