Why would that stop the other half from arriving?

If I annihilate the first half of his army before the second half arrives, I win on Wipeout! conditions since there are no models left on the table..

I recomend reading the art of war, if you want to know how to win at war there is no person in history that knows how to win better then Sun Tzu.

Sun Tzu may have been the first to write about war, but he doesn't have much of a track record to back up his writings. Besides, much of Tzu is completely unpractical in wargaming - you know, unless you want to do things like not tell your opponent what your units are capable of, or bring five times as many points to the game as they do.

So by that logic you win the game instantly when a person's entire army outflanks or deepstrikes? I'd reread up on what tabling a person actually is.

I played the old codex when i first started. That was hard. Then some arsewipe nicked my codex and i couldn't find another one so i had to collect vanilla marines for a while before the newest edition came out.

Do I play to win?
I used to.

Now I just play to have fun. I can do that whether I win or lose. Winning and losing is highly overated in miniature gaming.

I play to win when it comes to real life stuff.

Cheeky bugger! I really loved the artwork in that one! I'm lucky to have played in honorable groups! Hate when cheap gits come into the stores and steal things! Ruins it for everybody, and those A-holes can't even show face and game!

I'm with several other posters on the "Hope the dice don't hate me" route to victory!

Actually since I play a footslogging BT, I run everything across the board and kill whatever I can find with whatever I have left.

I generally assess whats going to kill me a lot, then kill it. Then I assess what is going to a bugger to kill if it gets in the right position to kill me, then I kill it. I find killing any units over 200 points in a 1500 point game to be a fine way of winning. It simply leaves them dead in the water.

I fought tyrands once and killed their trygon, hive tyrant AND mawloc by turn 3. All the smaller critters couldnt stand up to my tanks.

I play pretty aggressively with my wolves, typically I run up with deathstar+ rhino grey hunters with fire support from long fangs/auto+las preds and assault things.

Rhino popped? Those grey hunters will keep moving towards the enemy, no matter the cost!
