Shadow Dragons are my space marines.

I would say the name fits pretty well, think dark angels and raven gaurd with the personality of a salamander. striking from pre-prepared positions lightning fast and in the dark, protecting civilians, loving plasma, and trying to stay out of combat for as long as possible.

all I need is to find my fluffy reason for their hate of Ultras, can't wait until I take them to an Apoc game at my GW and they open fire on any ultrasmurfs, carnage will insue

Personally as long as it's not Rainbow Hippos,or Pink Ladies,
I think you can pick any name you want.

Wow I just remembered I didn't name my Chaos Legion.

Maybe "The Sons of Fulgrim".

Then why does no-one make a chapter called Runs Swiftly, or Fiercely Grinning?

My point is that people are locked into a GW European-centric mindset, and they shouldn't be.

Not really, why does saying a truth about GW main audience show my 'limitations', or why does saying i think the names you created were show my 'limitations'?

I can imagine a small shadow elve creature that feeds on human leavings, but i can still think the idea is .

It's easy for Chaos You just mix something good with something bad.

Redeemers of Disaster

The Glorifiers of iniquity.

Salvation of rot.

Keepers of destiny

Joyous soul leechers

Stillborn

Whores of gore.

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

The Siege Shades.

Sounds more like a piece of equipment for the angry marines.

Oh, and the hippo names are cool, too. My favourite is the Penitent Hippos. I can see that.. a squad of hippos, all looking down, one of their knees turned inside, and stammering about their evil deeds, swearing to not bathe in a pond until the end of time...

"We train young men to drop fire on people, but their commanders won't allow them to write "feth" on their airplanes because it's obscene!" (Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now)

And you know what's funny? "feth" is actually censored on a forum about a dystopia where the nice guys are the ones who kill only millions of innocents, not billions.

That generator gave me "The astral Hippos" . I thought that most of what the OP write though is pretty much common knowledge as it is. Thanks anyway for the effort.

That article inspired me to think about how to name my chapter again, actually. Yes, most of it has appeared here and there, but it is good to get a nudge from time to time.

So my thanks to the OP.

My go with the Chapter Generator netted me:

Atomic Turtles.

I can see it now - green armour, brown backpacks & all movement 1 inch.

Honestly though, naming a chapter can be the hardest part, I've had a few ideas for chapters in mind, and never got any further because I couldn't think of anything that didn't sound stupid, or ripped off from somewhere else.
