I was thinking countries would become better at managing population problems in that future and there would pregnancy prevention measures as well.
It's a great dream to have, but honestly, would you want to live forever?
Feth yeah!!! Who doesn't want have the energy, health and sexual vigor from there youth.
Well call me crazy, but I'd much rather die.

To be fair I kind of have a bit of a fear towards death, mainly because I feel that means that I might lose all consciousness of myself. The fact that I exist is considered the greatest phenomenon to me and to have that removed would be horrible. I
enjoy intellectual, sensual, emotional, etc stimulation over nothingness.

Right now I've kind of accepted death to be inevitable, but that might change as I get older, so I can certainly see why there is so much love for eternal youth.
Anyway, back on topic, what the hell do they plan on doing with a mammoth if they can successfully clone one? I mean, domestication will be a bitch, according to this http://www.pbs.org/gunsgermssteel/variables/cattle.html (it's in the lower half of the article) and you'll hardly learn anything from a single mammoth.

A cool idea! Do it! Do it!
Science is awesome, give us the means, and we can cure cancer, increase life expectancy, eradicate "inherited" illness and disease, reduce infant mortality, generally make the world a better place.
What the hell has "god" got to do with anything? Break out the stem cells already!
They can grow an arm out of my arse if they think its going to benefit humanity.
Hey, i could carry extra pints! Gimme an ass-wrist pronto!

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels. |
