Anything should be ok to combine with apocalypse if you tweak a few things. I'm planning on having a ps/a game in the comming months. I want to roll on a shadowsword and start swating bastions. I would probably end up playing defence just for speed though.

Apoc/cities may be ok but that is a lot of moving through terrain and not a lot of sight for such a big game so may get bogged down a bit. PS/cities sounds a bit weird as there would be little room to DS into.

I say anything can be combined with apocalypse as it doesn't really have any rules you need to use, just loads of optional things and the ability to field superheavies or formations. I would probably steer clear of assets but I am not very familiar with them so don't know how they would work in PS.

I think PS could work with Cities if you set up a good narrative board rather than one optimal for defence. Such as leaving a large open space to rpresnet a town square or market (bit like the longest day) or if you had a city huddled together on half/two thirds of the board and a clear area to represent the outskirts/city limits.

Would probably require a fair bit of tweaking but I imagine you could do a really nice cinematic battle if planned properly.

combining strats, assets and formations might be tough though.
