I love the template this army uses, its really nice to see a Craftworld Eldar list do well without falling back to basics.

One thing I was wondering was the Chin cannon upgrade a must have? Im just trying to gauge the points vs effectiveness of it in my lists and it hardly ever shoots every turn against things like fleet Nid MCs or mech orks (my two usual opponents) it feels like I get one shot off with it then im forced to scoot meaning all I can fire is the Scatter laser. And Ive considered dropping them and using the points elsewhere

I played with them for a while, but found I either wasn't shooting them enough for them to be worth it, or was putting myself in tricky situations so that I could shoot them (when I really should have just backed off). 5-6 Serpents is about what you expect for this points level, and by pulling off all the underslung Cannons you get enough points to take another Vyper, which is 3-4 shots you will always be firing and means you have no reason to ever move less than 6".

The shuriken cannon upgrade is a must-have for me. I fire them about half the time, especially in the early game where popping transports counts the most. It nearly doubles the fire of the vehicle for about an 8% increase in cost. It adds that 4th or 5th hit to the serpent's volley, and spread across a whole army you're talking about a significant amount of firepower (there's no other way to add 6 shuriken cannons for 60 points).

Absolutely true. The volume of fire counts and can make the difference.
