the old gaurd codex is awesome, I much prefer the style to the new one



Edit: he's done quite alot of codex cover actually, some AT43 and some fantasy. and he's responsable for the awesome catachan work on the other page

I second this. I like to see some sweet artwork, but I also want to know exactly what the models I'm buying look like and everything else that's in the box.

I can see where GW is coming from putting mini photos on the covers though.

Why do people assume that having artwork on the box means there won't be pictures on it? We already went over this, unless you folks want artwork AND pictures of the models on the front of the box, which would be a package design nightmare.

As long as the contents are photographed on the back I quite like the artwork. But they've *always* had photos on the back regardless of the front of the box, very few companies don't show photographs of the actual contents.

For the front I prefer it to be one way or the other, not a mixed, confusing jumble......maybe I'm OCD in that way.

Artwork is much nice than Just pictures, but I've kind of got used to the newer spruce'd up pictures.

So really I don't care as long as it's consistent.
