They're looking at "rebooting" the "Lethal Weapon" series apparently, so there's "hope" it would seem.

We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

If you can't enjoy Hollywood films DON'T WATCH THEM...
Everyone knows what Hollywood do, there not their to make innovative avant garde films, so decide what you like, and go and watch those films.
Its quite annoying the amount of people who moan about things like Hollywood films, reality TV etc the only reason they get popular is because a lot of people like them... Hollywood don't employ the mafia to go around and force people to watch their films......

If you want something better, look outside the goofball comedies and superhero action movies.
Word. frankly after the suckfest of 2010, 2011 can't suck as bad.
Isn't 8mm and Battlefield LA out this year?

March 4: Apollo 18, looking like thriller style first contact.
March 11: Battlefield: LA, Alien invasion viewed from the squad level. Yes please.
March 25: Sucker Punch. As others have pointed out. They forgot the samurai troll wielding a chain gun though.
April 8: Hannah. Young girl grows up in the far North trained by her father to be the ultimate assassin. Government "catches" her and all heck breaks loose.
June 10: Super 8. JJ Abrams Area 51/alien movie.
July 29: Cowboys & Aliens. Old west getting invaded by aliens and cowboys fighting back. Harrison Ford as a bandit leader.
Dec 23: Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Anyway, I'll be seeing all the superhero movies because I'm a geek and will giddily munch popcorn while watching them.
correction Samurai robot troll with a chain gun
There you go. Super 8. Now we just need some decent comedies and we're gold.

I'm kind of stoken about the latest possession movie with anthony hopkins. I dig all the exorcism and possession kind of stuff, even (most of them) the corny ones, so Sir Anthony Hopkins actually taking interest in it means it might actually be classy. It's not like he needs the money.
I'm both chaotic and orderly. I value my own principles, and am willing to go to extreme lengths to enforce them, often trampling on the very same principles in the process. At best, I'm heroic and principled; at worst, I'm hypocritical and disorderly.
Chicks, action, guns, swords, samurai, dragons, robots and a Led Zeppelin song, what's not to like?
Meh, it would be 100% more awesome if not for the stockings. I HATE those things, they are basically just oversized sock, plus they make legs look chubby.

Apparently, he wasn't their first choice.
But he knew the source material, and was a big fan so that pushed him ahead of the others.
Ah yes, more aimless Nerd Rage aimed at Mr Bay for the Transformers films. feth knows what you were expecting, but I saw massive Robots beating the snot out of each other, which is exactly what I paid for. With the added bonus of Megan Fox looking lovely and jiggly in slow motion.
May 20th: Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. First one was funny, second one was okay, third one sucked. Does anyone actually think that the fourth Pirates film will be anything worthwhile? At least Depp is hilarious as Captain Jack.
December 16th: Sherlock Holmes 2. I was pleasantly suprised by the first Sherlock Holmes film. Hopefully, RDJR can keep it up.
The 3rd pirates was the BEST! 2nd one sucked! What are you smoking mate?

Beast Wars was more entertaining than the Transformers ever was, kicking Megan Fox out just made the films worse.

That looks pretty good.
And Black Swan is out now and is excellent, and True Grit will be out here this week and that looks fantastic. But, like, there's some sequels to Hollywood blockbusters coming out that don't look very interesting so let's all complain lots.
“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”
Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.

The entire trilogy is already out in Swedish with English subs. Dunno why they decided to remake them so soon. Always have to "Americanize" everything...

Really? You don't understand how people like to make money? That seems like an odd thing since it is such a basic desire. Perhaps you are new to the US and just visiting, so you could have a good reason for not knowing that most major theater chains don't run foreign films and that many people don't like subtitles. Take a property that can generate cash but has a low penetration rate in a huge, HUGE market, and you realize you need to make a version that can penetrate that market. If it helps you feel less butthuirt about Americanizations, other countries remake our stuff to. It isn't just a one way street. Stupid Kurosawa, trying to Japanese up everything. And did he ever make a single good movie? Oh wait...
I'll probably go see it becuase I like most of the people involved even though I have already seen all the Swedish versions, but it won't be opening night.
PS You haven't lived till you have seen some foreign version of "Who's the Boss".
Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
Well,I'm looking forward to HP7.5
Conan might be good,as long as they keep true to the heart of it.
Maybe X-men might be good.
Might see Puss in Boots, just for a laugh,if Antonio is still the cat then at least I get to hear his voice for two hours.
And I no everyone will hate me for this, but I hope the "Scary Movie" people make another film.Lol I know they suck,I just like a dumb laugh for an hour and a half.
