I don't think they're ignorant about the expense, but at the same time there's nothing they can do about it.

GW staff get a 50% discount, so his army isn't going to be as expensive to collect as a non-gw employee.

GW staff are also paid pretty low wages and don't get many benefits.

So 50% is in addition to having to pay for healthcare.

I'd honestly be surprised what percentage of people on a retail wage pay for any form of healthcare.

Don't mean to sound like a prick on this one, but the trouble with pricing complaints is of course 'I can't afford it'.

I don't think there's a single company out there who feels down that their products are out of some peoples reach. It's debatable about where the divide falls of course, and not a discussion I can be arsed with as both sides essentially come out with little more than anecdotal evidence.

Guys, this isn't about the relevancy of this thread, but it's about what the thread is actually asking.

Probably work

You know, having worked retail back in the dark ages, I can safely say that the staff members of GW are probably living a miserable enough hell without you heckling them...

The old white dwarves used to have so many sales and deals/vouchers, but they're no longer around!

They're just the shop staff. You might as well corner staff in a clothing shop and complain about the right of people working in sweat shops. What response are you hoping for? They certainly don't have the authority to make an official statement.

They'll most likely deflect the question and it'll just be awkward if you press the point.

Indeed.
f you don't ask, you don't get, no point hushing it up, and just accepting it.

Just as there's no point in moaning at or too people who have no control over the situation either. Or much like there's no point in starting a thread hoping to hear "amusing" stories about guys who work damn hard for scant financial reward being trolled in real life by people who have nothing better to do.

Especially if the best one can do is attempt to dress this up as being "brave".

Hmm.. no.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
