Actually, darthspader, if it was just a single unit, it wouldn't say "in an army." It would just say "any unit including grotsnik." But since it says "in an army" that gives all units in an army the ability to upgrade...now every member of the unit would have to upgrade, but thats how it works.

Ultimate cheese we've found here...but nothing as written denies it from what I've seen.

It's the "an unit in an army including Grotsnik", not the unit he joins. Joining is too fluid to base wargear on. Trying to add CB to a vehicle is as silly as saying the Flickerfield from a brand new codex has no effect.

Problem resolve, FAQ states the following: (Directly Copy and Pasted for your viewing Pleasure!)

Q. How many units in an army with Mad Dok
Grotsnik can be upgraded to have cybork
bodies? Are there any restrictions (apart from
non-vehicle) or can it even be Gretchin or
independent characters?
A. Any number of units can be upgraded. This
includes Gretchin (Super-Gretchin! Cool
conversions, but a bit expensive at 8 pts per
model!) and independent characters (except for
unique characters), effectively giving them a 5 pt
discount on the cybork body upgrade.

Seeing as this query is resolved in the FAQ I think we can safely put this one to bed, and not have everyone claw theri eyes out, again, over vehicles and saves.

ahh, good times.
