Here's the next build update. I finished all of the gap filling, sanding, trimming and pinning. On to paint. Here are two shots after the gray primer.

Here's a quick painting update. I've got the yellow and black blocked out on the model and painted the IF insignia. I still have a few coats of yellow to apply to the model, so that is why you can see the lines in the paint job. I decided to do the yellow by hand as there was no practical way to tape off the back section to spray paint. Still a lot of work to do, but I wanted to give folks that are following this an update.

Amazing... it looks great and gives me hope that there is another option for my dream of one day owning a thunderhawk besides forking out a ton of money to ship one from forge world. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see the finished product...

Just a quick text update, there are not alot of details that can be picked up on camera yet. So far I've added another coat of yellow to the body, and started picking out the details in bolt gun metal, and white. I think I still need another coat of yellow and then I can begin the weathering. More picture updates comming soon...

Just do a search online for Nova's Thunderhawk plans. As far as material, I primarily used foamcore, plasticard and bits from other GW models.

Well it's not quite completed. She still needs another coat of yellow paint, and alot of detail work. I'm going to give some of the Forge World weathering powder a shot down the road too. I've since completed painting 2 Landraiders, 3 Landspeeders and nearly 40 IF Marines, so I might be just about ready to go back to working on the Thunderhawk... Maybe...

So I started a new project. DROP PODS!! Here are the first pictures of the drop pod I am working on. This is another pattern I found online. Unfortunately there is no name associated with it so I am unable to give the creator credit.
