I have a new signature myself, and did not use a banner maker for it, or any other services other than my own talent, and my Paint Shop Pro program.

I use mybannermaker.com to create the signatures, and I don't see a problem with that. I don't have any software that will allow me to make anything decent on my PC, so I use that instead. Congratulations on your pointless post.

Shame? I think not. I'm happy with my signatures/avatars, so are the people who I make them for, and whether or not you like how I create my banners is irrelevant and pointless when voiced.

Dudes, if you don't want banners from me then don't bother posting. Simple as.

But then you might think that there are no flaws in your brilliant banner making plan. Just trying to point out that many people won't like a banner with those gigantic words on it.

I'm aware they're not great, and yes, those annoying little words at the bottom are.. annoying.. but making banners isn't a particularly big part of my life, so I'm content to just use the crappy, free, banner-making website I am. Besides, they are the first ones I've done, and frankly I think they're pretty good, annoying writing at the bottom excluded.

Been meaning to get back into photoshopping some stuff... thought I'd lend a hand here.

you have a point and so did I, but I admit that my point was a little vague and should have been stated more clearly. your sigs are good, and you have talent, BUT your using an inferior product when you should be using a paint program like Paint Shop Pro, or Photoshop. As Marshy and myself pointed out so well in the creations that we have posted here, those programs are so much better for doing this kind of work and they don't cost much at all, if anything, if you have the right kind of friends. PSP for instance can be loaded onto your computer from a friends disk and then you never need the disk again, unless you wipe or damage the program in some way.

To be honest, if all he wants to do is place dodgy text on a picture, he should just use Powerpoint or something. People with sig making talent like Marushi should use advanced software. People without sig making talent like Darko should stop making sigs.
