I swear It's been stuck in my head for two days now, very similar to when I overhear some song my kids are listening to on Disney and I end up humming it for weeks.

Out of interest, what are the lyrics, it is a catchy song!

A strange place

I like this song too, and for the lyrics, this is the english translation:

Having lost my shaken sense of reality,
My emotions are piling up like rubble. Where will they go?
Holding on to my crushed dreams, I ran, cutting mindlessly through the crimson rain

At the end of my collapsed feelings, what will I see? What will there be? I do not yet know
Without a sound, all our fleeting futures simply unfold before us

The vanished lights and shadows, the last words.
All I wished for was tomorrow. Where is this reality?

Staring at our devastated today, I ran without hesitations in the crimson rain
Passing through the crumbling landscape, what will I learn? What will I hear? I can no longer see
Without breathing a word, we simply have to continue to choose a single fleeting future

edit: copied wrong translation

Edit; there seems to be lots of different translations, since i dont talk japanese. I don't
know which one is real. But the red line is similar in all of them.

Most anime opening songs have little to nothing to do with the show.

Just wached the final episode..... I hate open endings, especially if they don't continue
after it. I demand more episodes!

Well time to write an opinion, me thinks.

I found it very enjoyable, even tough some things could have been worked
out a little better. The storyline was not fancy but decent. And i liked the style of the
story.

The characters were good, but the creators did like to show .... you know.
Not a bad thing, but there was to much focus towards it.

Overal i give it a 7/10.

And just for the heck of it, my fav character was Saeka.

Spoiler:
I felt the ending was fairly typical of the zombie genre,as once the world is over run by the living dead one can hardly expect an " And they all lived Happily ever after" sort of ending",the characters live to fight another day...which is about as good as it gets in an apocalypse situation.

...Also,as I understand it,this was an animated adaptation of a comic series which only covered the first part of the story,so perhaps there will be a HOTD part ll.
As far as the characters,I found them to be "Standard anime template"...Brooding guy..check,Bumbling but useful sidekick...check,Airheaded tart...check,Hot but misunderstood/self involved Genius...check,girl with dark secret...check,creepy little kid...check,Average "love interest"...check.
I guess if I had to choose the most "likable""character it would have to be the chubby little guy with the gun fetish...his "creativity" in the schools shop class made me chuckle.

Spoiler:
Indeed but i tought they were going to meet up with the blonde one her friend. And if they got there, everything goes to hell.
And when they had escaped have the open ending. It would make it feel more complete in my opinion. Now it feels more like they stranded in the middle of the story.
Even in other zombie flicks, you can see a begin-middle-end. Its not like they are going tostop the movie,
just when they would go save their friend. So even the open end is an end to a storyline.

And for the typical characters..... I don't know. This was my first anime watch ever.

Spoiler:
Yes..I agree, there were a few loose ends that bothered me a bit...the blondes "special forces" friend just sort of vanishing (I assumed she got killed in the nuke strike...but..who knows?),the scuzzy Pedo/Prophet on the bus...I know the bus crashed...but..????..was that it?...I didn't see him die?
Overall, the end did feel incomplete in many ways...which is why I liked the first several episodes much better than the last ones....seems to me that once they rescued the creepy little girl the story started to go down hill.

Spoiler:
There were a lot of unexplained things, like why shoot a nuke/emp to fry computers, if the Z's can't even use them?
All main plot characters are still alive at the end, even the blondes friend.

It didn't really went downhill after the little girl, it just got slower and fizzled more at the end.
Its like they lost their momentum halfway through. Its not a bad thing, to give the char's more depth, etc...
But after that it would have to pick up the pace. And then it ended in a unsatisfying manner.

The reason (from what ive been able to gather) that they stopped is the show caught up to where the Manga was at that point in time, their letting it get ahead again then hopefully gonna have another go at it

Already had the music for this a while ago, but decided to give it a try because of this thread and it was actually pretty decent.
Now to wait for the second season.

Got to hate that teacher though. He quickly went downhill after the kicking scene with him.

Anyone else noticed the music from 28 Days later at times?

OST also looks kind of cool.

But from what I'm seeing all the endings are by Maon Kurosaki. I'm not really seeing them on the tracklist for the OST, they also seem to be on their own album called H.O.T.D.

I did indeed notice that the music from 28 Days Later was sprinkled about HOTD...but then again...I would.

I thought you guys were exaggerating just a bit about the fan service in this show because it was a silly anime. But after watching that first episode, wow, and it gets worse?
