I would oblige to your request sir, except you're the other side of the Atlantic which is a issue for me :(

Curb stomp oh ahoy!

mwnciboo wrote:Mercer my Melta heavy list 1500pt gunline, (usually used against Mech armies)

1 x Libby (GOI + any other)
1 x 5 man sternguard (LC + C-FL + 2xC-FL + 2x-C-MG
1 x 10 man Tac (C-MG + MG + ML) + RB (TLC)
1 x 10 man tac (C-MG+MG + ML) + RB (TLC)
1 x 5man Sniper (Telion + ML)
1 x Dread (MM + PF)
1 x Dread (Rifleman 2 X TL AC)
2 x LS (HF + MM)
5 x Space Marine Bikers (MG + PW + MB)

I play IG alot so Tanks are my main concern when using this army. I do change the Sternguard to PLASMA Combi's if going against lots of MEQ's. Telion and Scout snipers deal with MC's quite well. try to follow the 3M's as much as possible and use the Bikers and LS together.

Apologies for my typing I wrote " chance glance or pen 1/3" I shoudl have written "with a 1/3 chance of a Glance or Pen" against an LR its probably a bit pointless because of the Machine Spirit rule.

I am after more RB's have you found any cheap sites in the UK? I have been grabbing sprues as and when from Ebay and magnetising them..I am working on a magnetised Rhino to RB where the Top hatch assembly changes over completely so I can have magnetised turrets and a magnetised Rhino "Top" so I can swap it from Transport to Armoured Fighting Vehicle to Predator.

That's a vanilla list isn't it? Tut-tut list tailoring..

www.buyforlessonline.co.uk always sort me out, but I know them so . I did get a crap load of Razorbacks off Ebay just before Christmas which cost about £10 - £14 each inc p&p which I thought was a good deal. I got the entire Razorback turret kit for £5 each from one of my customers who does bitz.

List wise it looks pretty solid, so you shouldnt have too many problems.

However, monlith's will give you hell, more so when they spam 3 of them.
And if your up for a game at some point, i would be happy to do so

Never heard of a monlith before...now Monoliths I've dealt with though I admit getting 3 6+ in a row is lucky

Where abouts are you Jack?

Thanks man I really appreciate the comments. I also recommend you stop drinking coca-cola because it must make you really excited with all the ! in your post

Ah but the Coca-Cola is just too good to resist! I shall tone down on the !!!! as it is a sunday morning and so far no Coca-Cola.

Great Army dude

Yeah, it makes my Daughter hyper too

I've hit a painters block on my army but seeing how good a fully painted force looks helps clear it. Love the fluff too

Thanks man. What gets me going is playing against others with paint armies and that generally sorts me out.

Goterdamrung wrote:Nice list and army. I'm starting a blood angel army, but looking more towards assault marines, death company, and dreads with some vindicators and storm ravens for support. I like the way your list looks, would be interesting to play against.

Nice one. Assault Marines are a staple choice but Death Co meh. Furioso Dreadnoughts with blood talons are the nuts.

Really great fluff. I am making up some fluff for my blood angles army as well. It's nice to hear that there are other players out there that are that serious about their minis. Makes me feel like it's okay to be a twenty-three year old still playing army men and making up stories for them.

Solid effort.

Though Im not sure if its just the photos, but you need more depth in your shading.

Particularly, the metals.

I don't do shading, I just use washes to darken the models and get in the recesses.

Yeah, its plain C:SM, BA get some brilliant stuff but you pays your money you takes your choice, no regrets from this callsign (honest) :( . Good deal at £10 - £14 each, 3 for under £50 and you are doing well. List tailoring isn't a bad thing, you cannot do it at a tournament but in friendly local games its good to try out different options.

I was looking at this rather gimmicky vanilla list one just for S**ts & giggles...(yes i know TF Cannon is a weak choice!)

Love your Army though, do you game at all in the Wales and Borders? Or travel for tourneys? Bristol Vanguard are good as are the Viet-Taff (we run CARDIFF CARNAGE 40k tournament) there are some good ones in Midlands and Brum.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!
