I pick neither. There is only the Unifying Force, none of this 'Dark Side' and 'Light Side' hogwash.

Huzzah! You know what's weird NPR played part of one of their songs in between their news segments. Odd place to hear some Crystal Castles.

Anyway I'm done derailing threads with excellent music ............for now

There are no grey or dark Jedi. It's like saying someone is an evil lawful good Paladin.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

Wasn't Jolee Bindo from KOTOR a grey jedi? Maybe he called himself something else, but a grey jedi is neutral more or less.

Or maybe they just exists outside the council and the sith empire/organization.

Being a force user = being a Jedi. A Jedi is a specific group of force users that have a specific ethos, and it doesn't allow for Neutral or Dark.

Oh ok, what you're saying makes sense.

I really don't know that much about Star Wars :/

Edit: Wait a sec the term grey and dark jedi are used quite often in the SW fiction, I'm sure they exist in some form. Also don't you mean force user=/= jedi? then your second point would follow a bit more clearly.

Sith, but not like a generic super buff emo villan.

I'd rather rock it Palpatine style, rule the galaxy sort of thing.

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

I'd rather be a Jedi. It will provide a rather good (or bad as it may turn out) challenge seeing as we're almost extinct (whoops, did I say we?). Plus, I will be able to rely on my students and know that they will not stab me in the back because they are little power mongers. Also, when you whip your skills, people will be like "Oh snap I thought you guys where extinct".
Jedi = Yoda is on my side

I always thought grey Jedi and all that stuff was lame. The idea behind the Star Wars galaxy aren't complex, nor are they particularly restrictive. Some people can access great power, but if they use it for evil purposes they risk becoming very evil, so they must practice an incredibly level of restraint.

I get that some people don't want to tell those stories because they want to tell stories about dark anti-heroes or morally ambiguous characters or whatever, and that's cool, but then why tell stories in the Star Wars universe? Just make up your own universe where special powers operate in a way that suit the stories you want to tell, and don't screw up the perfectly sensible Star Wars rules.

I voted Jedi anyway, because Jedi seemed to be enjoying themselves at least some of the time. Dooku, Maul, Vader and Palpatine seemed to be pretty miserable for the most part.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Sith.

Regardless of this "Rule of 2" bs...

How would Darth Bane enforce a Rule of 2 without killing off the remaining Sith forces?

SW fluff is so full of holes... Geroge Lucas was just lucky his accidental masterpiece was a hit...

Everyone knows the new stuff is rubbish.

Also, I will always remember the original movies as Ep 1,2,3... and Empire Strikes Back is the best.

That was from the OT days. Things have changed quite a bit since then.

"A dark Jedi is anyone who practices the dark side of the Force whether or not they were a former Jedi."
―Leland Chee

I will say this, I don't agree with it, but Dark Jedi is a cannon term now. Things have changed a lot with the Star Wars universe. I used to be a pretty big fan of it, but after Clone Wars destroyed everything worse than the prequels, I have pretty much given up on Star Wars.

@AvatarForm:

Darth Bane didn't have to kill off the remaining Sith Forces. They pretty much killed themselves with the Thought Bomb. The only one left was Darth Bane and he took a little girl as an apprentice who displayed strong force powers. Since he was the only one left, he could pretty much do what he wanted with the Sith Philosophy.

Spoiler:
He DOES kill off the other Sith. He convinces them to attempt a Thought Bomb ritual to defeat the Jedi, knowing full well it would kill everyone present at the ritual in the process.

That is probably the stupid quote for the day. Leland Chee sounds like a terribly unimaginative person.

Thats the way it is though. I got over it and moved on to something else a few years ago. Star Wars has gotten stupid all over.
