Hmm, here's another angle which would avoid the proportions issue. Grots find a dead termy in mostly intact armour, eat the marine corpse inside (mmmm!), are very impressed by the armour, remember a recent battle againt Tau Crisis suits (weedy humanoids piloting big cool robots from inside the robot torso), inspiration strikes, they rebuild the termy as a robot with grot pilot sitting inside the torso surrounded by bionics driving the limbs.

Modellingwise, it would be a normalish termy but with a changed upper torso (and orky weapons) - at the very least a grot head peeping out, but the sky's the limit to show the grot repairs and 'improvements'.

@clang - I like that idea. I was toying with that idea before I started this. I saw someone had put grot heads on tau suits.

after cutting the the arms of the termies and replacing them with nob arms I think I am committed to this thing.

I will be trying to bulk them up this morning and will try to post later with some pics.

@wib - thanks for the feedback. I dont take offense to the comments at all. We put stuff up here hoping for feedback.
On the weapon thing though I thought I had each with a twin-linked shoota except for the one with the kombi rokkit and kombi skorcha.
I actually had started t paint them but they are going under the knife again asap.

For the comments about changing to a boyz head instead of a nobs, the nob himself is bigger then the termies and I was trying to keep the mini close to the right size. I actually had a boyz head on at first and went changed it. A mechs work is never done.

Those would make some perfectly serviceable cyborks.

"'ere! A boy won' fit in dat suit! It's fer pinkies!"
"Well... owz about if we saw 'is arms an' legs orf, an' lose some of 'is internal gubbins? I don't fink dey's all nec'sary."
"Worf a shot. Who wants ta volunteer?"

(edit)

The Grotinaor idea is also awesome and I think I know what my next Killa Kan squad is going to be...

(edit again)

You know that bit from the Stormboy pack? The little grot body crammed in a tube clutching controls? I know what I must do with it now...

Men, I am not ordering you to attack. I am ordering you to die. In the time that it takes us to die, other forces and commanders can come and take our place.
