Yes, it seems though that Garro is half way through recruiting at the end of the last audio book. I would figure that Garro either picks the remaining people up, or Malcador already has them recruited by the time when they next meet.

I don't think those four guys form the Inquisition. The GK 'dex mentions 8 Astartes form the Grey Knights and 4 humans form the Inquisition iirc. So I guess they pick up 4 more Asartes and they become the original Grand Masters eventually.

I don't think I was clear, sorry. I meant the ones that Garro is recruiting become the Grey Knights and the others, possibly as they are not psykers, form something else like the Death Watch perhaps. Either that or they are just locked away and forgotten about. Which was always one of the stories of what happened to Garro and his lot in the old fluff. Which would suck balls, Qruze is a dude!

"Cerberus" is the last one to be recruited. In Legion of one, Rubio had been in Garros gang for a year between Oath of Moment. I guess Varren was maybe the second and the other 4 were still on Luna or off on another errand.

Thank you for your needless and apparently 'witty' response. Read the thread, and my post. We know he isn't Garro, I have half speculated that he COULD be, you kinda missed the whole meaning of speculation.
Draigo's fluff is terrible, I think Garro is a better character, and that only a highly skilled super-marine like him could achieve half of what Draigo is described as having done.

Yes, I believe you've mentioned before you really want him to be Draigo even though he is obviously not. I don't know why you insist on telling us that.

Oh God. IT'S CALLED SPECULATION. SPECULATION. I know he isn't Garro, I'd like him to be, that would be a great piece of fluff, but I know it is not to be. No one is telling you or anyone else to think the same, basically you're telling me not to think something that has no effect on you.

I finished listening to them and cant help thinking about Tarvitz, I mean he wasn't even MENTIONED. I did hear a rumor a while ago that garro, loken and tarvitz were meant to stand in front of the emperor at the siege of terra. I used to think that was impossible but now......its hard to say. (i would like to see it to)
If we consider tarvitz and Iacton as part of garros group, what about the other two?

But you know he's not so you're not really speculating you're just wishing. I agree that if Draigo was Garro it would be a lot cooler and more acceptable as he got a measure of revenge against his arch nemesis. Much better than making an uber-character out of no where. Unfortunately, that's not how Ward rolls.

I just got the books, they are absolutely fantastic. When is the next one due?!

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Matty, I looked through the Black Library website and it doesn't say when the next one is due out. Sorry. I also manage a book store so I will let you know as soon as I find anything out.

I think we all wish for better fluff in some of the codecies. Its why I mainly stick with reading just the BL stuff. The people that write the codecies are there for the rules and thats mostly it. They really should have the Authors from BL writing the fluff for the army books.

Really looking forward to the next audiobook. If it's been a year, Id like some elaboration of what happens between Oath of Moment and Legion of One. Id rather them tell me what went on rather than have anymore speculation of the recruitment process. Also weren't the original GK's hidden away on Titan by Malcador to train for years? Im curious of that time for them as well. How the chapter grew and galvanized into one powerful army.

Aaron Demski-Bowden has a really good audiobook that followed his Night Lords book, Soul Hunter. I want to say the name is Throne of Lies. Helion Rain is actually decent. Raven Guard fighting 'Nids is a win.

Hmmm, with reagrds to living so long. Chaos Marines of the founding legions are 10 millenia old, as are the SW 13th company because they flit in and out of the warp.

Lysander is overt 1000 years old due to being a captive of the Iron Warriors, so it is conceivable that someone in the grimdark world could live that long. However Garro-Janus-Draigo doesnt feel right to me.

If you read the last remembrancer in Age of Darkness:

Spoiler:
Iacton Qruze also who served aboard the Eisenstein and heped Euphraiti Keeler escape from Horus, now sports ghost grey armour with no symbols on it and is running a prison on Titan i think, which is Grey Knight home world... could he be 1 of Garro's chosen????

Also from age of darkness:

Spoiler:
A thousand son named arvida escapes the world eaters on prospero who were searchiong for an artifact after the SW had destroyed the world. he escapes, and does not think of his primarc as others do..... could he become a psyker Grey Knight or Is it possible he is a founder of the Blood Ravens???

Automatically Appended Next Post:
PS I havent heard the audio stories and I really want to, plus i didnt see this second page apologies if I am restating what someone has already said.

I actually haven't had the chance to read the Age of Darkness book yet. So thanks for the heads up. I kind of hoped Iacton Qruze would've become one of the 8 founding Grandmasters.

It s a set of short stories, some better than others, a very good read overall. I liked the Ravenwing story very much.

I bought mine from a gw store last weekend. Anyone want to trade for a Garro audio cd?

Its cool with me. I'll end up reading it anyways.

You can actually end up ordering them online from Black Library or Amazon.com. Its how I ended up getting most of mine.
