Because I havent seen the new ones and I want my army to look old. As technology improves things get smaller so I think this fits in perfectly with my army.
They are based just after the Horus Heresy.
LOL you make me laugh kid. Like I said b4 in 1st ed through 2nd or 3rd termie seargents had them and where the size of a regular storm bolter. Why do I have to keep repeating myself?

Sure Space Wolves Land Raider Pilot

1st- 3rd was set long after the horus heresy and gw have realised that old models (1st-3rd) looked absoloutly 
Also my army is set literally just after the horus heresy and in conjunction with the second founding.

they had specific armor variations through out the editions because of the heresy lol. at MK 5 there was heresy armor with all those studs and what not those appeared in 2nd or 3rd get your fluff straightened out b4 you talk to me
