The "Auntie Ju"...a Ju 52, originally used in WW2. This old lady used to fly circles over my hometown when I was a child...those three prop engines had this nice, deep, sonore sound. I really like the oldschool look. It seems so...adventurous. Like out of an Indiana Jones movie, about to explore uncharted jungles and mountains... It's a plane for the guy who wants to travel and see the whole world with his own vehicle.
Oh, and a second vote for the Spitfire from me!

Do you mean the F-18 or the Corvette, because the Ford GT (technically GT 40) was specifically built to kill Ferrari's in the 24 hour of Le Man and succeeded, four years in a Row! It would also crush that corvette!

2 seaters ROCK.
I'll take my MR2 over your Fiero. Much like the Ford GT it too was Mid Engine, Rear Wheel Drive and both of their bodies were designed by Lotus

Aircraft... the Spitfire gets my vote but I have to say the modified recon aircraft with its clean lines is the best looking for me. (I'm not listing exactly which model as I'm not so knowledgeable in such things.)
Boat... any of the three Olympic-class liners of the White Star line (now Cunard)... this includes the Titanic. I just love the lines on these ships and forever lament that the last remaining one, the Olympic, was scrapped in 1935.
Car...
*sigh*

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

No one specified mechanical. PRU Spitfires were modified from a number of variants.

Further posts can only take us away from the thread winner right from the start. You just cant beat a Spitfire, particularly an eight gun early model like this one.
I am with Jeremy Clarkson on this one, in his book I Know You Got Soul he rates the Spitfire is the ultimate machine:
"The fact is simple. The Spitfire looked good. It was as dashing as the young men who flew it, and in flight it was as graceful as any bird. Its progress through the sky seemed effortless, as though it was simply riding the breeze and its Merlin engine was only there to provide a suitable soundtrack. You had Mr Churchill on the radio explaining that we'd never surrender, and above you had the Spitfire, and you couldn't help thinking: Yes, we can win this thing. Possibly, just possibly, the Spitfire is the greatest machine ever made"
I concur entirely not only from looks but also sound. Merlin engines speak to the heart in a way no other machine sound can, I know it instantly even if I am in the basement of a tower block and the sound is faint and unexpected, I know it, love it and have rushed out to meet it. This happens each and every time, though in the occassion mentioned it cheated and had help, from four other Merlin engines, as it was the Battle of Britain flight that passed overhead that day.
n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Yes, but it costs more than the Ford GT and it's performance is not even close!
And the Ford GT is plagued with electrical problems. Sides this thread is subjective. I think that is the best looking car
Also mine ranges from 80k to 150 depending on model. Yours is around 120k + so they are pretty comparable in price
Of course it's subjective I put a Vespa up!
Yeah the 2005 had some teething problems, but they got those all figured out by 2006 and have proven to be very reliable, which is remarkable, especially when compared to other supercars that generally carry very steep maintenance costs They are close to the same in price, but nowhere close on performance. The Ford GT is a remarkable performance car and a true BANG for the buck!
Not saying the Aston Martin is not good looking, but performance and maintenance reviews have been disappointing. However I'm sure the interior is much nicer and more along the lines of a luxury car than the sparse layout of a racer like the GT.

I have never understood peoples fascination with Aston Martins! I guess I don't get the whole British sports car thing. Luxurious, but not enough to be a true luxury car, performance, but not enough to be a true performance car. The maintenance records on most British cars would make you sick. I'd take the 1965 Monte Carlo winning Mini Cooper S as my most favorite British car!

Here are some of my fav designs;
The de-havilland-mosquito, same moter as the Spitie but faster.
The P38 Lighting, one of the most awesome designs that the US Army Air Corps ever used.
All of the B bombers made by Boeing, the 17, 29, ?? and the grandady of all bombers the 52.
The sleek lines of the Super Corsar 2, talk about fuzz inducing looks.
The big V, the Avro Vulcan, a bomber that could do almost any thing you asked it to.
The A10 Warthog, a plain designed around a gun. Tank killer, bunker killer, hell, any thing that looks at you funny killer.
The EurofighterTyphoon, "...climbs like a home sick angel..." just look at those lines.
The Bell 47, every thing a chopper should be.
The HH-65-Dolphin-helicopter, every thing a good chopper wants to be.
What every Tank commander dreads seeing, the AH-64 Apache.
The Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey, I mean come on, how cool does that bird look.
The The Boeing CH-47 Chinook, the sound it makes is what a chopper should sound like, plus it can lift artillery pieces!
