I just got Ice cream! but it wasn't Vanilla or Cinnamon, it was Rolo! Oh how I used to love Rolo candy when I was younger, back when I could eat whatever I want and not get fat, mmmm so tasty.
BTW has anyone seen my feet? I seem to have misplaced them......

Well get thee out of our fair forums, foul agents.
Anyway, now they're gone, does anyone else really, really love cinnamon? Mmm, cinnamon. I don't think it's given the recognition it deserves. Would anyone else like to talk about cinnamon?
Oh yes! Cinnamon is great! It reduces your Blood Sugar and Cholesterol Levels! It is also great on French Toast, especially when combined with Vanilla.
Cinnamon is unbeatable in cold weather as a topping on most things...
especially chai latte...

vanilla is GREAT! it doesn't have to be in desert stuff alone. I actually use it alot in cooking. I make a vanilla chicken that once people try they basically demand the recipe.
inject (w/ kitchen syringe) a mix of 1 Teaspoon of oil and 1/8 teaspoon of vnailla into each chicken breat, then do a simple rub of fresh ground peppercorns cayan pepper and a pinch of clove
grill and enjoy a grilled chicken breast with just a hint of sweet and a touch of spice
and i don't cosider somethign being called vanilla a bad thing. To me it can mean a subtle elegance, not over the top but not necessarily boring

Why, just the other day, I put mint extract into my bottled water! It wakes you up much faster than sniffing the mustard.
Mint>vanilla. Free yourself from the sticky tentacles of Big Vanilla!
Also, Mint Marines was the best codex I've seen in a long while.

I had a professor that always used the expression "plain vanilla" with regards to certain business transactions.
It amused me, as it was the first time I heard the expression outside of either gaming or sexual fetish context.

I'll take your choc mint and raise it to green tea. The Eastern scoundrels strike again, attempting to overthrow the good ol' American flavours.

Although I get the use of the term Vanilla, I prefer to go with the term "beige" if something is normal.
When I used to be a chef in a 2 michelin star restaurant we used to have vanilla pods brought in from Madagascar (where the best Vanilla comes from). Each pod was £19, and thats not the most expensive you can buy. Opening each cannister (looked like a cigar tube) instantly the beautiful smell would fill the area your working in.
Also for odd Vanilla recipes. Vanilla potatoes. Turned potatoes boiled till almost cooked. the sauteed quickly in butter and seeds from about half a vanilla pod. Really lovely sweet decidant flavour, very nice with grouse or a really good chicken.

That would have fit absolutely perfectly into "The Usual Suspects" as a Keiser Soze-story. Not saying that you are lying at all......I just got an instant case of Keiser Soze when I read this.

What's weird about that? That's a normal breakfast practice. Pancakes with sausage patties (or links). Both get syrup. Just as it should be. In fact, at least in the US, they sell sausage patties that are already maple syrup infused.
