Well for those of you who play WoW, you may have heard of Figureprints...
This is done via 3d Printer...and most look pretty good. Wonder what tech they are using??

Youtube says they use a Z Corp Z510 3D printer for those. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5G4ICGxmlQ


Solidscape wax printers are probably the best printer on the market per $$ for printing 28mm miniatures. I haven't seen any super affordable services yet that lets you print designs using those machines. Some of the stuff I've seen printed on the wax printers look incredible but when asked about price to print it's usually 3-4 times the cost of a .1mm UV cured resin machine which looks fine for anything I've designed so far.

Poor orks... Why can't they be the good guys for once?
All they've ever really wanted is whatever you have...

I have this! But have yet to put it together

So will report back then...

But I would say no, it definitely does not have the resolution to do miniatures (and neither do any of the "hobby" or "home" level 3d printers on or just coming onto the market for < $3k)
