1 flying tyrant
1 walking tyrant with guard

20 devourer gaunts in pods
30 termagaunts with 2 web guns(PINNING!) (pod or outflank)
2X 12 genestealers (1x Broodlord)
2X 4 Warriors in pods
30 Hormagaunts Pod
10 ripper swarms with spinefists(good fun!)

12 ymgarl
1 deathleaper (+1 reserve = 2's on turn 2)
1 lictor (with this lictor my reserves + tyrant with hive commander = turn 3 automatic reserves

5 ravenors start in play faster than DS
20 gargoyles with toxin sacs and adrenal glands = anti everything!
6 spore mines( denial of terrain)

Tyrannofex(walks up with hivetyrant and ravenors)
Biovores
Mawloc/trygon prime

I don't think this is a legal army.

Here is why i say that. A brood of Ymgarl stealers max's at 10. The Lictor and Deathleaper are in the other 2 Elite slots so you'd need to lose 2 Ymgarls.

And guants can only go 20 in a pod at a time. You list 30 Hormo's and 30 term's all in a singls spod per unit you'd need 4 pods total for that many. 15 beasts in each for even distribution.

Also deathleaper is still a lictor with chameleonic skin and so he works just like a normal lictor in that he arrives turn 2 automatically and so his PT doesn't start working until then either so it's not until turn 3 that you get the bonus.

I like the look of your group and I looked it over because of that and I found these issues with it. However having a lictor and deathleaper on the board you can really be choosy about drop zones because you have two characters that you can drop within 6 of. 1 of whom you can remove from the table and place down again anywhere at the start of the next movement phase.

If not for the mediocre who would be great, and thank goodness for those who are just terrible they make even those who are mediocre look great

Tyranids? Tyranids. wrote:For what I've seen/heard, I don't think Lictors are a good use of points. You should also consider Hive Gaurd, since a lot of armies are mech armies. You don't need synapse in your pods. By the time your DSing units come in, your synapse is either dead or in range. BTW, how many points is your list suposed to be?

yeah unfortunately lictors CAN NOT assault after coming out of camo, so all they can do is get their crappy 6" two shots then get shot to hell. they are no doubt one of the coolest models, so don't sell it, but yeah the ymargl's (sp?) dormat is what lictors should have.

Hi sorry, ive listed my numbers considerably wrong! i have on a different forum my actual list i was working it out on the top of my head. i only use the listors for 2 purposes, pheremone trail means my reserves are coming in seriously quick and two 6" areas to mawloc their a**! i will be running a swarmlord so instant reserves. i was only listing amounts. hormagaunts come out of trygon hole or run ( i now run 50!)

yeah deathleaper and lictor PT not working till turn 3 really sucks.
