2 Objectives is unfair! It makes me move my minis and do something other than sit and roll shooting dice! Capture and Control is GW's bid at anti-fun!

I've actually heard more complaints about Capture and Control than DoW, with it being referred to as 'the auto-tie mission.' I've found a lot of mission complaints often boil down to the local setup. In this case, it sounds like the OP plays either the same opponent, or the same style army with great frequency, and if DoW comes up they always play it the same way.

I ended up regularly playing one Tau player for a bit who hated Seize Ground, because we always played 1k, and he had two troop units while I had four.

Dawn of War/Capture & Control is one which can be a recipe for boredom since it makes the 'get to your opponent's half' bit even harder. It's a good challenge though so worth it just for that.

Its why I run mordrak.

He often will sit on your objective from turn 1, and make you concentrate on getting rid of him (or, ignore him, if youre mech eldar) while the rest of my foot sloggers / DK Jumping Bean catch up to you. Makes for some intersting decisions on the opponents part (which is why i really like the GK codex - lots of interesting, diverse ways to run lots of semi-competitive lists.

I really do like DoW, even DoW C&C, as they both make you think about how you run your lists, and countering others tactics. Much better than "sit back, shoot" missions in 4th ed...
