Coffee separatists? You fascist!

Not so much a Fascist as an one wishing to distance myself from tea in all it's forms.

I'm drinking my large Iced Coffee from Dunkin Donuts as we speak.

I have always enjoyed a good cup of tea. I was demoted to associate member once I realized that Jameson was not in fact Irish tea, but rather a good, Catholic whiskey.

I drink Russian Caravan, whenever I remember to add it to the shopping list. Nothing fancy though, just . And I drink it all wrong, because you are not supposed to drink it with milk, but I do because I think you get a smokier flavour. When I've had it in teahouses a couple of times I've had great fun offending the waitress by ruining my Russian Caravan with milk.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Anyway, never met one in my life (being in Britain and all) but from what people say, arseholes. Aren't things lovely when they're in black and white?

In response to the first part: No.

In response to the second part: so you don't know any tea partiers and you're taking other people's opinions of it (presumably the anti-tea party crowd), to conclude that they're "arseholes".

Classy.

Back on topic: I don't know why, but I find coffee terrible. It's bitter and horrible, and cream and sugar just make it worse.

I just drink my tea straight, no honey, milk or whatever. Anyone else have preferences?

The Tea Party is a simple group that decides to properly use their right to protest. They don't cause a ruckus, they're just a group of people sharing the same ideas and concerns.

Everyone else just blows it out of proportion.
...because ya know, the Tea Party is what we should really be worried about!

Well, as you know we tea-partiers are a religious bunch so I herefore layeth down the Tean Commandments:

1. Sweet Tea is the God of all teas, having brought us out of the land of summer torment, of the house of unquenched thirst. On hot summer days thou shalt have no tea before it.

2. Thou shalt not make for yourself false teas or imitations. Instant teas are an abomination unto my sight.

3. Thou shalt not imbibe sweet tea in Maine.

4. Remember the weekend and keep it holy. Moweth not thy lawn, nor stoke thy grill without sweet tea in hand. Do no work nor chores save for the brewing of sweet tea.

5. Honor thy mother and thy father, that thy days may be long upon this land that hast given thou sweet tea.

6. Thou shalt not murder. Thou shalt rather sit down, drink sweet tea, and reflect upon the joys of life.

7. Thou shalt not commit adulteary.

8. Thou shalt not steal sweet tea. Thou shall drinketh only that sweet tea which thou hast brewed by the sweat of thine own brow.

9. Though shalt not bear false tea to thine neighbor's barbeque.

10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's sweet tea.

I generally go for Pu Er Chinese tea when it's available.

Otherwise, one of the usual English Breakfast / Assam blends is good enough. I actually quite like an Assam/Ceylon blend from leaf tea I had for a while.

I love me a good earl gray or an english breakfast, but it's so bloody difficult to find full leaf teas in phoenix, its all bags. It also took me ages to find a proper tea pot.

In light of certain posters on the OT, no sane tea party supporter would discuss it here.

Tea bags and coffee powder are only used by those who have strayed off the righteous path of the Caffeine Gods. Their intentions are noble but their ways are heretical.
