That is one mean looking gaming table, almost worth flying all the way just to come play on it! Nice work lads.

I like the grit it has in it, But it's a pretty standard flat shade of grey.

Panic.

Have you tried the Plasti-kote stone effect spray? Seems like it would perfrom a similar function. Have been meaning to get some to experiment with but never got round to it.

They are similar but the stone effects gives a slightly larger range of texture in its coverage I found. The roughcoat I found was more like sand or grit in the paint.

the wash seemed thicker than GW washes.
We did a controlled test to see what it looked like straight from the tub on the top levels of this building, the dark gray shaded areas is the wash; it stained quite a lot and didn't 'flow' into the recesses as much as badab black would. but it did tone down and shade the tiles.

If you're wondering how the wash compares normally, I'm currently using it as a dip in the repaint of my Arbites army. I think the tub cost around £6/8.
The original models weren't dipped. For the repaint, i dipped in this, highlighted a few colours and rebased.

I actually thought the wash was a little thinner than Badab Black, but maybe it's just thicker but less 'shadey'? Dunno.
