Was ist das?

And I've tried both WoW and LOTRO, I think one of the things that drives LOTRO for me is the lack of an environment and characters that look like a clown who ate fruity pebbles diarrhead all over the place. It's just too bright and shiny for my taste, escpecially when there's supposed to be some kind of war going on. LOTRO has more earthy tones which makes it feel like a place where some serious gak is about to go down.

Dunno. Would you recommend the Priest for a brawler type of character? Or is he the Heal Bot?

Actually funny thing IIRC in DFO they dont really like it if you heal all that much. You'll have plenty of healing items yea but theres not much of a "heal bot class". Priest or Fighter is good for hand to hand although I dont play them so dont take my exact word for it. Priest classes usually have buffs and maybe some magic to make them better while fighter has all the crazy moves like dirty tricks or throws

Odd.

Who made the game and what country are they from?

I already said, Nexon (or at least they own the game)

they own games like vindictus, mabinogi, maple story

yes they're korean.

I think I'll stop talking now before I induce the wrath of the mmo players here

Is it more indepth, or just a button mash of a game?

Well button mash as in you will press a lot of buttons? Then yes

But button mash as in you win by pressing random buttons like in a fighting game then most likely no. You have quite a bit of classes each with their own sub classes and in turn each has a variety of skills that you mix and match to fit your build depending on what you spend your points on. Your gear and avatar items will also add to your skills. Some skills require other skills at a certain to be unlocked and some skills require other skills to be used before using

Vindictus and Champions Online are the best I've played, to be honest.

There is a reason Lotro went free...

Guild wars 2 has potential, but im not holding my breath on it, Graphics still look terribad compared to newer games.

1) A free $15 a month is a brand new game for your Xbox every four months.

2) Graphics don't mean jack. Especially when you have games like AION that look beautiful but play like gak.

Dungeon Fighter Online? Vas is Das? *TO GOOGLE!*

Hmmm, looks interesting, though the fourth thing to pop up for it being "Dungeon Fighter Online Hacks" isn't very insurring...

I still enjoyed playing through aion even though it failed, was worth the money and time i played.. it just had issues.. was still worth a play through.

$15 a month toward a game ? meh

I would rather pay for a game once... the map packs make me kind of mad, but they aren't mandatory.

It's Runescape, me and it have bad history. I lost a friend to that abyss once. He just kept on playing, and playing, and playing. I asked him to stop, but HE WOULDN'T STOP!

Yeh but most peopel say the first 20 levels or so are the best. And there is a A LOT to do if you travel so I think just 20 levels could occupy you for a few months. Other than that steam has F2P games now and Age of empires onlie is coming out soon and thats F2P

Yes. Can only stand the random players accidentally setting me on fire, while trying to nuke normal enemies with grenades, for so long before I start soloing everything.

They are (have?) changing it, seems they have noted the up of subs in the games let let folks play at least some free.

I was on Champions for a while, but with news CoX (City of Heroes) is going free, I resubbed for a looksie. Thought why not as I'm not subbing to WoW at the mo. Damn, its feels better than Champions in my opinion, I had an feeling I had prefered playing CoX, while I was in Champions, but now I've tried it, yep, much better, prefer the graphical look in CoX as well.

Just need for it to go free, so Aurelia might join me. She won't pay for a superhero themed MMO, but she'd have a go if free. We need to get some dynamic Duo's out there gosh darn it.

I recently picked up rift. Its cheaper to play month to month than WAR, or WoW (AFAIK, i do know its cheaper than WAR).

The level of customizing is actually kinda ridiculous, its really the first game ive played where you can get away with making 2 fighters, or 2 rogues, because other than the most basic mechanics, they will play completely different from each other. There is tons of stuff to do, very in depth crafting system, along with Diablo reminiscent leveling scheme, and global events that are very often, and quite fun, even though they interrupt most other leveling activities.

If you LOOOOOOOOOOOVE PvP, then perhaps Warhammer online, or WAR, would be a game for you to check out, I recently quit because THAT much pvp just bores me after awhile.

I didn't see anyone mention it, maybe I missed it but Global Agenda is free to play. I mean it is also a Third-person Shooter, but you said MMO not MMORPG so I am counting it. Another one is All Points Bulletin, another TPS, it is also still in Beta so it has a lot of kinks to work out but it is fun.
