Very nice work - I like seeing what a hordes army looks like put together. I think your bases are even better than your painting - thats a compliment, not a slam.... : ) Fantasy and non GW stuff never gets as much attention on Dakka, so don't let it bother you.

I like the stone he's standing on. His hat seems a little flat though.

Very cool! I love your basing, what materials do you use? (Apologies if i missed it)

This last base is sculpted milliput and army painter tufts and poison ivy. The other bases are mostly rocks, sand, twigs, and same tufts and poison ivy. I also used envirotex lite for water effects. Quite simple actually

I like your painting, and seeing these hoard minis gives me inspiration to convert some of them to Orks or Chaos. But that can be for a later day (year). Anyway, your bases are amazing! The only thing that would make them seem more realistic to me would be to have the water have a bit more than just green in it. Like showing some small pieces of gravel and unpainted sand in the stream bed. Unless you are going for a sort of stagnant streem feel to it, if so, then you hit the mark. But seriously, Great job, keep it up!

With Gorax i had the paint too opaque, so it didnt really turn out. With these i will try to dillute the paints more, and have actual glazes
