The point of that comic though is that some people were begging for a Duke Nukem game that would be like the Duke Nukem games from before, they delivered a Duke Nukem game that was like the ones from before but the average taste in game had changed so it was called garbage.
The comic was saying that people want Ep. 3 of Half-Life 2 will come out because they want that same type of gameplay in Half Life 2, but when it comes out people might not like it because standards have changed since Ep. 2 was released and Ep.3 is bound to 'fail' like Duke Nukem.
Either that or 'gamers are fickle' which is more likely. Interesting enough, the german word for feth is the english word with an 'i' instead of a 'u' or 'fickle' without the ' le' at the end.
