Yeah, but, if it's only got collector's value, it shouldn't be too expensive.

Only having collectors value tends to make things hideously more expensive.

Stapletotheface wrote:hey guys, basically i have an original charizard which i got off a friend recently, i plan to get a full collection soon enough but one of my favourite cards; charizard is 'worn' especially on the rear of the card, i have looked all over google for methods of repair but i have had no luck (maybe because there are no ways to repair a pokemon card) but i was just wondering if any of you have had to repair some of your cards before, whether it be yu-gi-oh, baseball cards, magic the gathering etc.
Don't bother trying to repair it.
Start using card sleeves. You can get them in a variety of colors and styles. Saw some R-Rated ones at GenCon a few years ago.
They're designed for CCG's. They'll protect your rare cards from normal wear and tear. (I used to play Decipher's Star Wars CCG back in college)
Here is a quick search on ebay for them. There is a variety of styles for Pokimon. I guess it's a popular game.

Well, look at the dual lands from A/B/U set of magic, they're ridiculously expensive because of their collector's value and play value, and being a staple in legacy. Base set charizard only has collector value.

Lord Commander in a Plush Chair
In your base, ignoring your logic.

Charizard also has nostalgia value as well, and reminding someone of their childhood tends to be one way to get people to buy what you're selling.

Makes sense, I mean come on, its freaking Charizard! He's a legend. Too bad Ash sucked as a trainer. (No Earthquake? Or Belly Drum? )
