Wasn't there a poker tournament / movie afterwards? I couldn't stick around... standing up for 15 hours was too much. BYOC!!! (Bring Your Own Chair) That's pretty much the only major thing I'd change... maybe they could rent out one of those racks of folding chairs

My phone has died while I was getting my pics off, where are everyone else's pics??

I wanted to stay for Poker, but through poor judgement I had 48 kids showing up for a Pokemon tournaemnt the next day. Got home about 3am and crashed before heading to Picachuland.

Glad it was a good time! I went last year and had a blast. But I got back last friday from two weeks of business travel and couldn't justify spending my first day gaming over spending it with the family... Pity because The Battle was a blast last time!!!

Man I was only 1 point away from taking best overall too! I guess I'll just have to settle with highest battle points, using tyranids!

Wow, this sounds like it was an amazing time! Is it annual?

"AM are bunch of half human-half robot monkeys who keep tech working by punching it with a wrench And their tech is so sophisticated that you could never get it wrapped it out" thing a LITTLE to seriously. It also goes "Tau tech is so awesome I wish I was Tau and not some stupid Human" thing.

So did this event not have full disclosure and exchanging of lists? How was secrecy handled at this event?

Sounds like it was fun and very local to me (had plans :( ) but I am kind of worried about events with bad WYSIWYG rules and/or are lacking full disclosure.

Lists were exchanged on the 40K side.

On a different note... Were the "best of armies" based on battle points only or battle plus paint?

2012- stopped caring
Nova Open 2011- Orks 8th Seed---(I see a trend)
Adepticon 2011- Mike H. Orks 8th Seed (This was the WTF list of the Final 16)
Adepticon 2011- Combat Patrol Best General

Battle only for the general awards, only the overall's involved the paint score

That's what I thought. I got screwed out of winning best Ork. I had the highest battle points of the Orks and they gave the prize to someone else.

Lincoln posted on the IC forums that fantasy scores would be posted today looks like... looking forward to it!

I also finally got my pics uploaded (I have to text them one... at... a... time... off my phone...) and will post them here tonight

Congrats yermom and targetawg! Nice to see recognizable Dakkanauts do so well . I believe I got a pic of the tyranid army when it was on the top table, although it's possible that it's the wrong one . You can tell me when I post it.

Yep. This was the second year that IC put it on. They're already planning for next year.

The DoC army on the Battlefoam board in the middle is my travel on a plane army. Did pretty well until my brain gave out in round four against VC of all armies....

Had a good time, but the no comp on the fantasy side was pretty brutal. Inner Circle are a fun bunch to play with and it was worth the trip from LA.

Yes, the fantasy armies were pretty intense! That's what the event was for, and I enjoyed it a lot... however, I'm also looking forward to Border Raids in the area (at mikhaila's store) in November, where there'll be a lot of restrictions. Nice to mix it up...
