I'ts blue wash mixed in with silver and then highlighted up to silver. I then line it with a dark blue/black mix.


really stunning. May I ask what silver you use? It looks like mithril silver or an equivalent.

very cool! Im curious as to the ratio of wash to paint used. I would love to try and replicate... with stress on the word try as i am sure nothing will some close to your exquisite work. Any hints you could give would be greatly appreciated.

5 hours of wet blending, feathering and layering. I kept the paints wet with plenty of water, took my time and just kept going over it in areas that weren't blending as well.

The colours are white undercoat, space wolf grey, hawk turquoise and Imperial blue and then a touch of black.

It's years and years of practice though, I couldn't have painted that blade like that a few years ago.
