I really enjoy battle reports that have some storytelling like yours do, but frankly the fact that you use Tau names is a turn off for me.

This sentence is a perfect example:

Shas’el?” asked Por’Saal Mey’rin, interrupting R’ue’s train of thought.

I have no clue how to pronounce those names and I haven't really seen them before as I'm not a Tau player and am new to 40k. Ergo, when I read these reports I stumble over the names and try to do one of two things:

1) Ignore the names and assign a variable for reference, like this: "X?" asked XY , interrupting W's train of thought." This works until I get further and they compound and I give up, realizing I don't want to put that much effort into it.

2) Try to slowly sound out the names so I can get used to them, but then I realize I don't want to spend that much time memorizing names and learning how to pronounce them when I can be doing something else.

If this were a report on a real life event I'd spend the time learning how to pronounce other culture's phrases and names, but for a 40k/pretend hobby thing I just give up lol. What I'm trying to say is that there's a mental barrier that slows me down when I try to read your reports and most of the time I just skip the story and see who won. Maybe it's the italics that also add to the confusion. It's a cool concept and I'm sure most people enjoy it, so don't change anything on my account-I'm just giving some feedback and assuming you wanted some haha.

no wonder he could fit 80 in a 2000 point battle with ease. Their cheaper than guardians!

Good to hear from you KWI. It never hurts to experiment or take chances. I think your list has the right idea. 2/3 time, Vect's ability should work with Dark Eldar seizing the initiative and catching the opponent off guard.

I enjoyed your company. You are a good sport. It was a fun match and I'm relieved you also had a good time. You are really creative, coming up with new tactics and lists. I look forward to playing you again.

@Stormcrow:

Sorry. I do a lot of background research for my stories, but the names were actually inspired from an old anime series.

+1 Internets to anyone who guesses it.

The battle report itself is independent from the story. Some readers forgo the lengthy wall of text and head straight towards the army list and slideshow.

The story is just to enhance the game with my own crazy scenario as to why army x would fight army y. I try to include culture to put things in perspective.

It's really cool to read and well done; don't get me wrong. I just have trouble sometimes with the names haha. A well done batrep either way.
