Absolutely has been known. They said back when they announced the 'new direction' for White Dwarf that subscribers would get it a week after it landed in stores.

Yes, the subscription copies will indeed now arrive after the issue is on general sale.

I'd still say that about 2/3 of the magazine was devoted to pushing new/recent releases and advertising events & shops.

In my eyes it should 1/3 pushing new stuff (maximum) and 2/3 of new rules, hobby projects, army of the month, campaign ideas, painting articles, battle reports unrelated to the new releases, mini game suggestions (e.g. Border Patrol, Kill Team) etc etc. I'd even let JJ have two pages for his ramblings.

Have now received my issue in the mail, and I must say it feels slightly closer to what it used to in terms of content etc, and general feel, if that makes any sense.

That's definitely too much. Not every month please.

Horrible choice on the blue font. Made the reviews unreadable for those of us NOT using the black background.

Hi all,

I won't bother with this one as I'm not interested in the sisters and I don't play fantasy.

But WD does look like it is getting better, slowly but surely.

Also, could we have someone doing this each month so we can compare? If we get one about 40k any time soon I'll quite happily do this but I think it's a very good idea and one that we, as a community, should keep up.

I agree, i think this is a good idea, it allows us to review each issue as well and see if there is any real improvement and how quickly it actually happens. I'll do one for the next one I get if someone else doesn't do it first.

The content is a step in the right direction but not enough to warrant buying WD. It’s still kind of sad that whenever GW has something meaningful to include in WD (like an expansion or a codex), they try to maximise it by spreading it over 2 issues.

Since the majority of the rules content in this issue can be associated with new models, I suspect this "new direction towards meaningful content" nonsense to not be permanent.

If you use light blue font, the terrorists win.
