I have a sarge with a helm on his belt and i have the AOBR sarge with a damaged helmet on the ground and blood runnning down his face. Both look fine.

I don't find the acessories (Ammo pouches swords etc) which come with the tactical squad fit well at all, unless i'm putting them in the wrong places.

I'm active duty military, I mainly play to stay out of trouble and I enjoy the miniatures. AS some one else said earlier it attracts the single military members mainly due to the money we have on hands and the lack of things to buy with it. I don't think it has anything to do with testosterone and trying to overcompensate...

On the subject of helmets, GW has a Cadian Sgt. with the helmet n his belt/thigh, it seems to be a general theme for the GW models.

"War is not violence and killing, pure and simple; war is controlled violence, for a purpose. The purpose of war is to support your government's decisions by force. The purpose is never to kill the enemy just to be killing him but to make him do what you want him to do. Not killing... but controlled and purposeful violence."

Military life if we are honest is 99% boredom. 0.5% sheer terror and 0.5% BS. In the UK military we have a high level of Alcohol problems, the US does too but to a much lesser extent. Not sure why but it just seems to be more inculcated in British Military culture, and I for one don't think it's a good thing. It is changing, but when I go to US bases abroad you are more likely to see Service personnel "Geeking" it up on laptops and having a coffee or smoothie or whatever. Brits tend to act like kids in a Sweet shop and hammer the PX / NEX and then drink themselves stupid.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Single military guys get a lot of off time and can blow their money on about whatever they want since they are fed and housed. My first brush with GW games was watching an Epic game at Regiments hobby shop just outside of Ft Hood Texas. Everybody who played there was Army.
I play from time to time at my local store now and there are a lot of Chair Force guys from Wright-Patterson AFB

That place still in business? Wow! Still across the street from the Home Depot?

This would have been in 94 or 95, I don't think they're there now. I do still have a couple cans of paint I think with their price tags though

For the Emperor! Kill Maim Burn!... I mean purge the unclean!
