Always liked these old critters chaos back then was certainly crazier.

I gave it a blue sheen with some Tamiya clear blue, for a bit of a "Stargate" feel...

Also, woukd I be right in saying that Army Painter dip is in used in some capacity?
The completed stuff you've shown has been cool - did I see Epic Grwater Daemons being used as familiars earlier on?

Hello again chaps.
Just a quick progress report today. I've got two units of old school horrors assembled and ready for painting:
Just got a few daemonettes left to assemble and then the painting begins! Check out my blog for more pictures and words (link in my sig, below).

You're spot on with the dip. I use Army Painter strong tone on everything, I love that stuff. The portal is an exalted reward from the 40k Daemon codex. Basically you toss it down and it allows lesser daemons to pop out at regular intervals. I managed to find this very cool resin version online You're right also about the epic greater daemons. I've got a fair few of them and they get used all over the place!

Greetings all.
A bit of a big picture dump from me tonight, I'm delighted to say. I may in fact have to spread it over a couple of posts...
I finished off my first unit of Pink Horrors (first generation). I love these weird little gribblies so much that I had to take individual shots of each of them, accompanied by their names (from the old catalogue). They're a mix of pink and blue horrors, just to get a bit of variety in the unit. Let me know what you think!

Love the use of pieces on that prince, really fits the bill. The DE head is particularly awesome. Its especially good since that base model is not one of my faves, you've definitely improved on it.

Greetings all.
It seems I've been a little lax with my painting and modelling plogs recently, so I'm rectifying that right this second with a WIP teaser of a Slaanesh Soul Grinder I'm working on.
Not much to see atm, but I like where it's going so far. I'm combining the Maulerfiend, Soul Grinder and Defiler kits to come up with something suitably gribbly. Watch this space.
