hahahahha yeah if it was an official piece for an actual cover, i would have had to cover some parts of the body but its a portfolio piece so its ok

Absoulutely brilliant stuff! Can't wait to see Ferrus Manus, Vulkan, Perturabo and Corax. They have your picture of Konrad Curze up on 1/4 chan (can't remeber how to spell it ) Curze is my favourite too! Goes well with my pre-heresy Night Lords

Thought for the day: Fear the Emperor or at least fear his Inquisition.

Finally I finished The Lion;

Lion El'Jonson, son of the Emperor of Mankind, Primarch of Dark Angels Space Marine Chapter. A sleep within the Rock, yet to rise to lead the Dark Angels for the final battle.

--------------------------------------------
Greetings all, yes i know it has been a long time since i sketched the Lion, and didnt get the chance to paint the piece. But finally here we are
The original idea from the sketch was to paint the Lion's final moments surrounded by the Watchers In The Dark, but then i thought that there is no point in repainting the whole armor again specially that i already started with the main figure. So i changed my mind and went with something more mythical and spiritual.
I enjoyed doing this piece and i hope you liked it too.

missing Primarch is an Ogryn. He is about 20 feet tall, and his marines are str: 6 t: 6 w: 3 I: 4 to represent that they are marines that were originally Ogryn. They are slightly less stupid than a normal Ogryn, about on par with a particularly slow soldier. At least that is what I always imagined because it made me happy yo imagine Ogryn Marines 50% taller than a normal marine who could wrestle a carnifex to the ground single handedly. But really, fine job there.

What are your thoughts on the name of the Eleventh primarch? And what is your concept for the 2nd? I have seen someone make a marine here on DakkaDakka about the 2nd legion Sigma Marine's could be cool to see a Sigmar primarch.

Gushing praise:
The daemonettes are ah-mazing. One of the best reinditions of Kurze I've seen, and the concept is utterly awesome. (although something about the armor reminds me of Alpha Legion).

Constructive criticism:
Mortarion is cool, but doesn't his head seem a tiny bit small?

The Lion is well done, but the lines of the right vambrace seem too parallel, making it look smaller/out-of-scale to his left arm/the rest of the body.

That concept art for the XI primarch is really nice! You dont see many aquatic-themed armies and i like the 2-tone pearlecsent lok to the armout as well.
