In that painted picture, isn't the guy in the foreground of the Gor variety? It seems like people are saying that one's the minotaur. The one in the background I guess would be the classic minotaur with the bulky human torso and bull head. If memory serves, wasn't the classic minotaur literally that? No fur on its human skin.

I, for one, like the new Minotaurs. Especially the Doombull.

Squigsquasher, resident ban magnet, White Knight, and general fethwit.

Yeah it was all human, except for the head. IIRC.

Wait... are you trying to start a flame war here?

Gw is still making some awsome models, which are definitly much better then old ones.

But the question is, why are the minotaurs not among the awesome models?
Not why can't GW make good models.
It is a perfectly legitimate question. Although some may like the new minotaurs, many don't.

imho they are not GW's finest.

They're not the best models made by GW, though I do like them.

They're much closer to the "classical" minotaur as envisioned by the Greeks - like massive humans with fur and bull heads. Human-like feet, too. Which is good, I think. Makes them seem more like twisted, mutated hybrids of humans and bulls, rather than just bipedal bulls with axes.

The worst thing about the models in my opinion is not the way they're made, though there's just a tad too many lines for my taste, but rather their the way they're painted. Their paintjob is just downright terrible.

Also, I think this guy is actually pretty good.
