He was an absolute power house on the drums and was not only technically gifted but a supreme force behind the music of Zepplin. One member of the band, I believe it was Robert Plant, felt so guilty over Bonzo's death that it caused friction within the band and this led to thier falling apart. A real shame as Zeplin are possibly the greatest rock band to come out of England or maybe anywhere else for that matter.
Interesting. It seems the same as with Bill Berry in
REM, the drummer can be a very important part of the band's social dynamic, but it still seems they're not that important to the actual construction of songs.
Drummers. They're really nice people. Musically? .... uh. They're really nice people!
Do yourself a favour and YouTube anything by Led Zepplin live and witness the power and majesty of John Bonham.

I've heard a bunch of their stuff. They're very good at what they do, it just isn't my kind of thing.

Leonard Bernstein was mentioned because like Leonid Breznhev and everyone else mentioned in the song, his initials are LB.
Why are they listing a bunch of people with the initials LB? I don't know, it's Michael Stipe, he does random stuff.

Mixed martial arts and Top Gun, but musicals are definitely third.
