The biggest thing for me is that plastic glue means that you get them joined with no gaps, where as superglue can leave a clear gap. Plastic glue hides all sorts of sins.
Also, £4 for plastic glue? It should be no more than £1.50.

I prefer superglue. Never had any problems with super glue holding, however in some cases it does make it easier to snap something off if I need to by being able to twist something off (Super glue holds well but doesn't take well to twisting), whereas Plastic glue actually fuses the plastic together making it significantly more difficult/impossible.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts. |

Superglue always sticks to my fingers and takes days to take off .. Plastic glue is much stronger but alas unusable for metal or resin. Sometimes I still use superglue on plastic parts that I mights want to remove later.

superglue all the way.. soak it in simple green and the paint comes off and softens the bonds in case you want to remodel... if plastic glued you're stuck with the position or build of the models

Holy crap this thread took off overnight XD
Ill probly stick to just Superglue since its an all round glue.
For those who asked its GW brand glue im using currently. I will be swapping to another brand once I actually find one that comes with a brush lol.

However, PP plastics don't take to plastic glue, so I'm stuck
(see what I did there) with superglue for those models.
Surprised this didnt crop up sooner:

I prefer plastic glue for most things, partly because I was into just normal model-building first and it's pretty much the default there. I like having a bit of time to adjust before it's stuck that way, though there is the flipside of having to hold it until it'll stay. With my superglued minis (or not so minis like the hive tyrant) I'm always a little worried that something is going to break off. I guess it seems like it's mostly personal preference.

Call me crazy, but I usually use a bit of both. A teeny tiny bit of Testor's and a smidgen of 5-15 second "insta-cure" super glue. The super glue does a great job of holding a piece in position while the plastic glue does its stuff.

You're using the wrong kind then.
You want this stuff.

Testor's is a good product to be sure, but I've found that Plastruct solvent
is easier to apply preciesly and it doesn't have a tube to get clogged, which as happened a few times to me. It does have more fumes though.
Either option is better, and a better value than GW plastic cement.
