Bam! A preemptive strike against all the haters out there. Take that haters. Put that in your pipe and hate it. You done been told. I hate you.
One of our local Khador players hates all plastic models because they don't weight as much as metal models. I've seen the same opinion expressed on-line and in any context it still sounds insane.
To tell the truth, I'd much rather have the weight be in my wallet than in a metal miniature!

Wow does anyone else wanna come in here and tell us theyre not GW, so its stupid. It's pretty much what i gathered from the first page.
I say price drop for more models is awesome. 3 models were 49.99 at least, now 5 for 44.99. Win.

A point to make is that the 5 Man-o-War unit is 9pts in a Warmachine army.
So it is $45 for about 20% of your army. That isn't horrible value in that context.
Add in that they are certainly useful and powerful in game, and they are a must buy.
Just to feed the fire, what % of a 40k army is a 5-man Terminator squad?

Well no need to feed the fire. It just boils down to the unit adding more 'value' and so it is... in a bit justifiable to be the price it is.
In sort of a sense.. hah

With no upgrades, exactly 10% of a 2000 point army. Give 'em an Assault Cannon and four Chainfists, and it's 12.5%, I think.

What's the size comparison of these? Looks like they'd make some sweet pre-heresey termies.

No dig against GW. I happen to like the stuff GW makes and will continue to buy things I like. I was just giving the normal PP haters an opening to go ahead and get their complaints out of the way. I swear Privateer Press could give away models made of gold and have them hand delivered to your door by supermodels and some people will still find a reason to complain.
First of all the supermodel was late, didn't laugh at ANY of my jokes (not even the one about the warthog) and refused to give me her number. On top of that the gold is too heavy and bends too easily. And now with PP giving stuff away my old stuff is worthless!
Damn PP whats wrong with you guys! Sort it out!

We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.

Rough comparison between demo corps and plastic SM-terminators. The base sizes are both 40mm:
I'd say termies are much thinner, have baby-pauldrons and are about head or ½head shorter than demo corps.

Indeed. I'd have snapped up some Skinwalkers had they been in plastic. Ditto or the Cryx medium based units.
Trollkin Fennblades and Blighted Ogrun Fennblades are plastic.

They're not really plastic though, as they. They're resin. And they're obviously the Warmachine equivalent of Terminators.

They're definitely plastic, it's just a variety that has similar properties to what people are used to with resin. PP makes resin models(the Battle Engines) and you can tell a difference working the two. They're simply not what people are used to being called plastic thanks to GW, WGF, Perry Miniatures, etc. That said resin IS a variety of plastic itself to begin with, so...

Well you also have to remember that the terminators got a major scale creep going from metal to plastic, so there never actually were metal terminators the same size as the plastics or the current MoW's so comparing the metal terminators to the metal (or plastic) MoW's is not a valid comparison.

The metal ones have this awful thin bendy part near the top of the staff somewhere in between the hand and the hammer.
Looks like these plastic ones have fixed that. The staff is thicker in that spot and plastic is less bendy to begin with.
Only complaint is that yet again PP gives us only 3 different poses out of the 5 models. Would it really hurt so much to include two more different sets of arms

These guys are wearing coal-powered steam boilers, there's a good deal of insulation padding their armor to shield them from the red hot tank of boiling water strapped to their backs.

He is aware PP produce metal bases to fill this very niche.
