I understand where you're coming from. Some of this guys other conversions aren't bad, but the one I linked cannot be serious. Especially for $200.

If the mods wish, they can close the thread. I would understand why.

While the results are dubious imo, I do give him a big +1 on creativity.

When it comes to a new hobbiest posting their efforts I believe in positive encouragement regardless of the quality. However when representing your self as a business it opens a whole new can of worms. Perhaps we should invite this guy to Dakka in hopes that he will grow beyond his starwars+aliens=epic conversion dynamic.

Nowoo, thank you, and I mean that sincerely. You have called me out on being unkind about anothers work without the good grace to address it to him personally. Whilst I count my morality as flexible enough to include bouts of such behaviour without the need for self flagellation a little reminder now and again is what keeps us honest.

Sorry, but if you put yourself out on the internet ESPECIALLY as a business you are going to get critique, whether you like it or not. You're right, I'm not usually so negative and I'm sorry I behaved badly. If this were in some forums, I'd be critiquing it and letting them know where they could take this to succeed. If this were one of my friends, I'd be asking them what they were on about. Being as I don't like to talk smack behind peoples back or stand behind the internet to save me, I'm going to message him on eBay with a link to this thread and my first instinctual reactions to his work.

I don't have much in the Dakka gallery, but I'm happy to share some examples of my work if you PM me so this isn't brought any further OT.

To all those bashing him. A black primer covers a multitude of sins. ATM they look a bit "off" as they are in their raw state. I'm not a huge fan of the Ku'Gath but I can see from doing a lot of conversions myself that it will look a LOT more acceptable on the eyes when primed.

A lot of you are just looking these as "It's Jabba with deer horns. HURR!". When in fact when that whole model is primed you'll be able to see the finished article. The guy obviously doesn't prime them as that is for his customers to do.
