I wouldn't jump on the guy for 'cheating' with that. it seems like a pretty common misunderstanding with drop pods.

I don't think anyone was about to jump anyone screaming "CHEATER!" Heck, when I started playing 5th ed coming out of fourth, I thought plasma pistols still shot twice. That was an eye opener. Also why all plasma pistol using models were immediately stripped and replaced with flamers/meltas/combis.

4th ed. Space marine Fear of Darkness was a bit over the top..I've seen 1 libby make a 2/3s tau gunline run off the board several times.

Actually, with all the mech flying around, that power wouldn't even be that effective. Everything not already in a vehicle tends to be fearless!

A Sister of Battle to be my personal masseuse would be nice.

Emperor's Eagles (undergoing Chapter reorganization)
Caledonian 95th (undergoing regimental reorganization)
Thousands Sons (undergoing Warband re--- wait, are any of my 40K armies playable?)

Xenos should also never have a stat above 2, nor should they have anything that can be employed in the shooting phase. Including run.

...I also want the battle sister masseuse.

I'm not specifically against alowing earlier codicies, but it's very situation dependent. If a player is doing it to accomadate some minis they have or use conversions they made in a previous edition or to better represent a specific chapter feel, I'd probably be game. However, if the effect is just to strenghten an army that someone feels is too week, then I wouldn't be as understanding.

Also, as someone who's been in the hobby since early 2nd edition, I would ask, where does it stop? Can we bring back genestealer cults, Squats, Legion of the Damned, etc, etc? Not that I'd be against them, but it is a slippery slope.

Personally I would love to see some revised rules for gene stealer cults, a squat codex, new rules for legion of the damned, they really blow right now.

I miss the old SM codex. I like being able to kit out my squads however I want. GW doesn't like that. I mean just look at SW & GK.

2012- stopped caring
Nova Open 2011- Orks 8th Seed---(I see a trend)
Adepticon 2011- Mike H. Orks 8th Seed (This was the WTF list of the Final 16)
Adepticon 2011- Combat Patrol Best General

I too, miss the old style books with actual wargear. Ahh, bionics, holy relics, adamantine mantle, auspex what fun stuff they used to have.
