Phanixis has hit the nail on the head. There’s no need for the current large amount power creep as it is a sign of inconsistent (and badly written) balance standards. To be fair the older codices didn’t start having issues until the likes of SW and BA were released (as they were a huge step up from 4th and early 5th standards). Heck the current power creep is so bad, there’s apparent power creep difference when comparing Vanilla Space Marines (earliest 5E codex) with some of the later 5E books like BA and GK.

It is to be noted that part of the reason why there is a power difference is because of the change in power and point costing from 4th to 5th. That being said, this is nothing errata couldn’t have solved (which has only occurred for DA and BT).

The fifth edition codices are being written for this ruleset. They are being rewritten to work better within the current system. I understand that a lot of sisters players are upset because they didn't get a ROFLSTOMP army in their WD codex. If I understand it properly, neither did BA. I have played against sisters twice since their WD came out, and I have hardly been underwhelmed by them.

I see a lot of complaining about the fifth edition codices all being overpowered compared to the older ones...they're supposed to be. Part of that is pure model sales, and part of that is that they are just being adjusted for the new(ish at this point) edition. Personally, I really hope that 6th is much farther off than rumored, because I want to watch everyone freak out about how OP Necrons and Sisters and Eldar are first

I don't want my Sisters to be a cheese army. Then everyone and their pet Servitor will be ripping me a new one on the forums for playing a cheese army, and assuming that I only play them because I want to crush my opponents.

I feel bad for the people who had something similar happen to their army. Thinking about it is bad enough. Actually having it happen would be worse.
