Cheers for the suggestions, Originalj4y!

It's been a productive bank holiday weekend here in the Fox Box bunker - we've finally fixed the SSL errors in our shopping cart and even managed to setup shipping to work properly (an update to the Jigoshop TRS extension finally worked, huzzah!).
Boring website stuff aside there's also new stuff!

We're proud to unveil our new Orc Aviator Torsos:

You can find them here:

Nice stuff.

As far as suggestions, I've always wanted to see some retro sci-fi orcs. Basically orcs who got ahold of some ancient earth telecasts of 50s sci-fi movies and took on some of those looks.

Also, I don't know why no one has done this yet, but Doctor Whork... Not conversion bits, but whole models of orcs who have taken on the persona of various versions of the Doctor. I could see them as a nobz mob or pain boyz or mek boyz or even a warboss.

Pulpy sci-fi stuff, eh?

I'll throw around a few ideas. There's certainly potential for some fun Mekboy weapons and looted guns!

As for full Orc sculpts, I'll give it a shot. That little guy is my first full goblin sculpt (his head is separate, currently missing an ear).

Any preference for which version of Da Doktor you'd like first?

Well, Tennant would probably be the most popular nowadays, but I'd like to see some of the older ones with Tom Baker probably being the most iconic.

I've just sent a load of things off for manufacture. There's a load of Orc weapons coming but in the meantime here's the nearly done goblin ground crew member:

I've got some goblin weaponry in the works too, hopefully I'll have some details for you shortly

I've been feeling like my bikers are a stuck without a middle ground between pistols and rifles. To solve this little dilemma I've put together a couple of machine pistols:

They're Orc-scale as you've probably guessed.

Restock!

Plastics restocked: Lootas and Burnas, Warbikers, and the Trukk kit.

Aside from restocking work continues as always. Currently this is what's on the workbench:

With any luck I'll have the casts of the previous things I've shown off within the week but it depends when Jim from HCT is available. Also thanks to Sanity Lost for the artwork!

It's been a long time coming but it's like Christmas here. New products galore!

The riot shields are finally available!

In other news the site is getting some polish in a few areas and GW Orc Boyz bitz are available too. The riot shields aren't the only Fox Box resin bitz that have come in though, there's a big pile here. Frantic painting is going on to get the stuff on the site as quickly as possible. We're also launching a new section but there'll be more details about that tomorrow!

I really love your stuff mate..

I don't play greenskins mind, but your a great sculptor anyway!

The machine pistols is a great idea.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

You think so? Thanks! It's really nice to hear I'm improving.

The machine pistols will be going up at some point this week (i.e. when I've painted a set to photograph, not "in three months"!). Judging by changes in sixth edition I should probably see about doing some assault rifles though unless a new codex makes slugga boyz useful again.

That said I look forward to using the machine pistols for my biker models.

Right, back to the workbench! These goblins aren't going to sculpt themselves...

Looks like I'm going to need to order some more riot shields! Glad to see they're getting such a warm response!

Today we're releasing this chap:

Goblin ground crew.

My apologies for my terrible painting, I've never been much good at it.

Someone has kindly volunteered to paint our products for us so pretty soon you won't have to endure my terrible brush skills. Good news for all of us, methinks.

Anyway today we're launching our Goblin Specialist Sprue:

It should be roughly the right scale for humans too, should you be looking for an RPG-7 or similar.

I have to say, I'm definitely going to be purchasing something at some point, as you're the only website that I've been able to find (and I've been looking for a fair while) that sells grot heads with military style helmets.

Looks like a box of munitions has arrived!

Some Orc infantry weapons it would seem. A few machine pistols and SMGs and some sturdy blades should go a long way to adding some variety. With any luck you guys like 'em:

It has been a long time coming but it's finally ready for release - the Fox Box Orc Truck Extension.

I don't know about you but I can never fit quite as many greenskins on a truck as I'd like. Hopefully this'll go some way to solving that problem!

It's available with wheels or without. Any 27mm wheels with a 4mm axle bore should fit but if you'd like some chunky wheels with it they're available as an option.

That was why they were chosen . I wasn't aware it was under an attribution license though - I'll update that now.

Edit: Fixed. That's really bizarre that I missed that. I'm normally very attentive to licensing and I could have sworn I credited the Tumbeasts when building the site. I shall have to have a dig around to see what happened to that - there's something odd happening here!

I'm trying to decide on whether to give this guy a backpack of some sort. What do you guys think?

I'd say a belt with pouches/equipment.

Here's another shot:

Annoyingly I've just noticed that his tongue has snapped off again. Curses! He's supposed to be sticking out his tongue as if he's concentrating on getting the shot right!

 Squidbot wrote:

I'm not sure whether I have the space for that on this particular sculpt at this stage but it can go on one of my others. I'm working on a whole load of gobbos although they're currently waiting on an arms shipment!

Ages ago I posted photos of a goblin sculpt and since then I've sculpted another six or so. Whilst working on them I started thinking about some vehicles for them. Long story short what started out as greasy idea soup is starting to congeal into three different factions. The first two are of course Orcs and Goblins. The third is something else - The Holy Order of the Ark, the Sororitas Arcanum.

So whilst I'm getting the goblins ready for casting I thought I'd release these multi-part bad boys, or more accurately bad girls. Or good? I don't know, it depends where you stand...

Get them here:

(Yes, "Sororitas Arcanum" can also be translated as "Sisters of the Box". I do enjoy daft little jokes... )

I take it the hands can hold other types of weapon as well, from say a big miniatures company in the UK?

They definitely fit Anvil Industry's brilliant Regiment weapons:

I don't know about bulkier stuff - they're not super humans after all! Possibly with some hot water a bit of repositioning would work.

Nicky J wrote:Do they even come with arms? There's no arms I the sprue pics...?

Hah, yeah I realised after I put the sprue picture together that I'd managed to forget to photograph the arm sprue. Here's an updated version of the image:

Goblins and Sororitas Arcanum are all well and good but I reckon it's about time the Orcs got back into the action. Here's the latest:

They're made up of interchangeable parts:

With arms to go with them:

There's six designs for each part making for a total of 216 combinations (I'm fairly sure of the maths but if not hopefully some clever clogs can correct me.). Hopefully that's enough to get a bit of variety out there

Cheers, Malika2! Little easter egg for you: the inside of the weapon that can be seen on that one isn't random mechanicalness - I researched what the inside looks like when the magazine is removed. Well it was that or doing actual work
