As I get older, I become less and less interested in doing things I don't want to do, especially as relates to hobbies. Maybe it's because peer pressure isn't as important, or I just have less free time (B/C wife, child, house, etc...) and want to spend that time doing what I enjoy and following my hobb impulses of the moment. Whatever the case, I've got far more unfinished projects than I did when I was younger, and many more projects that I haven't even started yet.

Good call there. I can absolutely identify with that sentiment.

An upcoming game is usually enough impetus for me to get painting.

I've always found this. Problem these days (for me) is instead of gaming at least once a week, I barely game at all anymore due to time and the old group having scattered across the city and state.

Ouch. Having a reliable gaming group really is the key.

A bit over a year and a half ago was the first time in over 16 years of wargaming that I was able to put together a solid gaming group of mature adults that fits my schedule. We game once every other week and I've painted more figures in the last 18 months than in the preceeding 7 years!
