China? Sorry to pick this up after so long, but i do hope your not saying they are cast in China.
Actually, last news I've heard, forgeworld has been producing parts in China
Wasn't part of their financial report about how Forgeworld has all been brought back to Nottingham, including production?
yes. They had severe "fell off the truck" issues with the China operation. Issues they were warned about and warnings they ignored.

I'm shure they moved back to lenton after the failed Shanghi experiment with casting in China.
I would keep on politely asking for them to fix the problem. It's just like finecast, keep taking it back until you get a model that you are satisfied with. Don't feel bad, or not want to take up their time. You paid for it, you diserve to get what your paid for.
I have found with FW that they are only to happy to replace anything thats mis-casted or not modeled properly. I know people who have gotten a few thunderbolts and resin valkyeries and vultures because of the dodgy casting that sometimes makes it through FW's QA. It is usually the older molds that give up the ghost first, like the thunderhawk. I have heard so many horror stories about that one kit.

Just like anything else in life, make sure you get what you paid for. It's not your fault they don't quality check the models they sent out to you. Offer to send it back if they cover the postage if you feel guilty.
Furthermore, the above post, is one of the reasons I've held off on the Thunderhawk among other things because I don't want to drop $600 on a single kit only to get warped pieces and have to deal with FW over it again and again. They've been messing up orders a lot lately, with me anyways.

If you're ordering older kits, you're going to get kits with issues until they completely rebuild the molds from scratch.
That's what had to be done with the reinforced armor for the Rhino chassis. The molds were completely and utterly unusable.

Agreed, a guy had 5 kits locally to trade and I brought a rhino along to see how warped they were... just wasn't worth my time.
The new ones are very nice.

***UPDATES!***
Just thought you guys might want to know, FORGEWORLD CAME THROUGH! They sent me an absolutely perfect casting of the model, along with an apology and a ton of FREE STUFF! I take back everything I've said or implied about Forgeworld, those guys are great!
...
...
no actually I'm just kidding, it's been over two months and they still haven't sent me squat. they never respond to emails, and after calling every week, once a week and getting the brush off, I shrugged and gave up. It's bad enough to overpay for a defective product shipped at tortoise speed for extortionate prices, but their customer service policy takes things to a new low.
edit:
so what's going on here? apathy? incompetence? some sort of passive aggressive desire to lose their customer base? according to the guys at my flgs, my experience is far from unique; this is pretty much how forgeworld operates. i honestly don't even care about the rhinox anymore, I'm just struggling to understand how a company like this stays in business
