My current favorite technology is my cable box. It has a digital video recorder, so I can record tv shows and fast forward through the commercials. Of course, now I fear that the commercial people are gonna find another way to make people watch their crap.

The Internet, it blows my mind in sort of a sad way. I went back to college a couple years ago, the age difference between me and most of the folks in my educational peer group is only five years. Most of them don't read books for entertainment, don't research past Wikipedia for scholarly work, don't understand how or why to do research without the interwebz. Lets completely set aside the number of Family Matters, Full House, or Saved by the Bell quotes are lost on them...I'm pretty sure that on the future kids who grew up with, and without the Internet will be considered a generational gap. If it isn't already.

It's stupid easy to make also. It's basically just printer toner powder in a suspension of cooking oil. I'm going to make some when I finally get settled in to my new place and probably have an absolute mess all over.
